Both the original B12 Patch and the Methyl B12 Patch are highly effective. The original B12 Patch incorporates the ‘standard’ Vitamin B12 molecule, cyanocobalamin (CNCo) which has been used in injection form by physicians to treat Vitamin B12 deficiency. There are other forms of Vitamin B12 that have more recently become the focus of scientific study to determine their effectiveness in possibly replacing cyanocobalamin. In order to offer an alternative to those who feel more comfortable using methylcobalamin, Vita Sciences developed the Methyl B12 Patch. This patch is formulated with methylcobalamin (MeCo). There is no present clinical data that we are aware of that demonstrates Methylcobalamin is better than Cyanocobalamin. We offer our Methyl B12 Patch as an option for customers to consider.
Apply one B12 Patch to a clean and dry area of the skin behind the ear lobe on the neck or on the inner part of your wrist.
We recommend wearing the Vitamin B12 Patch for up to 24 hours.
We recommend using only one Vitamin B12 Patch per week as this is adequate for most people.
We recommend putting the B12 Patch on after showering in the morning. However, for those that shower multiple times per day, one can take it off before the shower and then replace the patch afterwards to dry area of the skin.
The side effects of the patch have been limited to application site irritation in less than .01% of users. If you experience skin irritation then immediately stop using the patch.
The original patented B12 Patch incorporates the ‘standard’ Vitamin B12 molecule, cyanocobalamin (CNCo) which has been used in injection form by physicians. Vita Sciences also developed the Methyl B12 Patch that is formulated with a different form of Vitamin B12, methylcobalamin (MeCo), as an alternative to those who feel more comfortable using methylcobalamin.
